Thanks mate. Best would be to get a taxi with the street name written down to show the driver? How much would that be roughly?

can't quite remember i think it was maybe 120 ringut/3 = aud = $40 maybe

was 2 years ago now
in my two trips i've stayed at the dorset regency and the royal bintang. in that area there was ALOT of shops and even a plaza dedicated to electricals (low yat plaza)

all near jalan bukit bintang which translates to star hill road

jalan mean a few things like street road etc if i knew where your staying i could give more localized advice IF I'm familiar with the area.

all i can say is have a wander around kl is weird on minut the street can look like a dive dodgey as hell next minute your looking at 100+ porches of all models and type and rarity

ahh good your staying near where i did!

i walked past your hotel on my way back from the shops etc. there is PLENTY of shopping etc around where your staying within a maximum 10minute walk.

some things i recomend you do
sunway lagoon
jenting highlands (if wanting to visit the casino semi formal wear is required long pants closed shoes smart shirt) Muslims are not permitted entry they will be arrested
can't remember what else we got up to in kl as it was never really our final destination more a stopover for a few days

because in the kuran it's against their religion for them to gamble. KL has a very large muslim community. and it has been deemed illegal for those of the muslim faith to enter casinos. there is a very big sign at the entry that states this with two armed guards standing at the entrance

these are the casino rules the muslim rule is rule number 1 on the sign on the sign it does not differentiate between malays and internationals
Our house rules are simple and easy to follow. And it's all listed just as below:-

• The casino is open 24 hours daily.

Admission To The Casino

• Persons under 21 years old are not permitted to enter the casino.
• Malaysian citizens who profess the religion of Islam are prohibited from the casino.

Dress Code
- General Gaming Areas

• Casino patrons are to be decently dressed.
• Patrons wearing T-shirts with commercial advertisements and offensive or political slogans are not allowed to enter the casino.
• Patrons wearing hats, sunglasses, slippers, sandals, short pants and sports wear are not allowed entry.

- Additional Requirements For Entry Into International Room and VIP Gaming Areas

• T-shirt (with collar) needs to be tucked in.
• Only leather and sports shoes are allowed at VIP gaming areas.

Firearms

• Persons in possession of firearms are required to deposit it with Casino Security office before entering the casino.

Photography

• No person is allowed inside the casino with any photographic equipments. Cameras and video cameras are to be deposited at the Casino Security office before entering the casino.

Other Prohibited Items

• Luggage, knives, electronic gadgets and devices are prohibited in the casino
