fan switch vr4

got a problem with a vr4 fan switch the switch in question is a single wire mounted off the rear of the thermostat housing - mitsubishi dont have a picture or listing of the part in question can anybody help out - thanks

That is the emergency fan switch. When grounded it should switch on both fans on high.
What exactly is the problem?

fan wont come on and the motor gets hot has had the sender ontop of the thermostat replaced,mate reckons he has done everything but the sensor has to be faulty (which one?) bridging the relay fan works fine

The fan sender is actually in the bottom of the radiator next to the bottom hose.
The sender on top of the thermostat housing is the aircon sender.
