As you may or may not know I'm putting an Evo motor in my coupe. I have a few final questions with my engine loom if people can answer any of te following questions

1. The loom needs to plug into the glxi engine bay loom. The plug for this has been cut off by previous owner. All the colors match up besides 1. See below for the new plug for engine bay loom then below for Evo 3 engine loom wires

The only wore on the Evo loom that doesn't match is the green as you can tell. Plus there is an extra yellow wire.

2. Every plug on the loom I have found where it goes. Except for one which is near the oxy sensor and heater tap.

It has two wires and I'm guessing it will plug into the oxy sensor (which I have forgotten to buy so cant check

3.There are also 2 other single tabs Near the heater tap. One on the front and one on the back

I don't have any other plugs besides the two wire plug mentioned above.
I also have this loose yellow wire which has nothing on the end

4. At the ecu end I have a red and blue wire loose with a factor looking pin on the End. The wire feels too short to have been from an ecu plug but it's at that junction

Any help with any of these would be much appreciated :)

also Neil posted a very comprehensive guide to the wiring loom on the yahoo jumbuck group. Lots to sort out on my bfs gsr jumbuck conversion. Helped.

so black and yellow to black and yellow. this feeds power from the relay box under the bonnet back to the fuel injection relay.
red/blue to red/blue is to do with headlight relay to the diode near the ecu.
yellow wires are:
the one next to the black/yellow one runs to the power steer pump, i think it increases idle speed when steering.
the other yellow one runs from oil pressure switch into the engine loom to pin 6 on your plug and from there into the body loom up to the dash for the instrument panel oil light.

i dunno about the green, but i think it does the radiator fans. couldnt find a drawing for it and dunno if mine work yet. it would go to pin5 on the evo loom (the one you dont have a wire on) if you had a jap spec ecu and loom.

yellow/blue on engine loom goes to blue/yellow from rad fan relay.

your photo 6 with the yellow wire:
check for continuity to pin6 (yellow wire not next to black/yellow wire in pic 1) if connected then that yellow wire needs to go to yur oil pressure sender.

red/blue wire in last pic should have continuity to red/blue in pic 1 as well. if so it goes to the diode. it is near the ecu. i think it is in your last pic with the black/blue wire. looks like it to me, but i havent looked at my loom

there you go, good luck

Thanks jack. Pix one is of the engine bay (glxi) loom. That hooks into the engine loom (the loose wires in pic two). So pic one isn't connected to pic 6.

Also what does pic 3 run to. And what runs to the two sensors front and back of the heater tap?

Alright. That green wire is equivelant to the blue. It does the radiator fans. There is still the plain yellow wire on the glxi side I would love to know what it does

I have another yellow wire near where the loom normally joins near aircon compressor

As you can see it goes into the plug but then out the other side to nowhere. Also near it is a sinlge yellow wire with a plug. Same color. What's the deal here?

Last of all I re fitted that red wire to the diode like u said. Can anyone confirm this is correct

the yellow wire is engine oil pressure. goes from pressure gauge to engine loom to body loom to dashboard.
my 1.5 had yellow wire up by oil filter. this is because oil sender is near there. maybe yours was too?
if so, your yellow wire runs from sender into loom under radiator, up close to fuse box, then under guard to instrument panel.
you need to intercept it and connect it to your plug and therefore to your oil sender.

hard to see, but i didnt have a power steer wire running under the radiator. i did have a yellow oil pressure wire though.
so i cut the oil pressure wire inside the loom behind the battery.

i connected the end that ran to the instruments to my engine loom through the hated 6pin plug (a-09) on pin6.

the other cut end was connected to pin3 (a-09). and i changed oil pressure end fitting for a power steer connection.

i dont know what sensors are what in yous pics, and i dunno about the aircon wires either

i dont recognise the blue plug. what is the near connector.
i dont have a yellow/black wire in the loom near the green plug. but i dont have a green plug either (rear window washers)
maybe check the wiring diagramms
