It's been a long haul of trialling oils and seeing which do what I want..
The short Answer - PENRITE SIN15 (15-50w - Designed to replace 10-40 / 15-40 mineral oils)
I've been running Liqui Moly Tappet Stop Noise in the past to reduce tappet noise and for a long time this was the answer even when running HPR10 and EDS05 (Everyday 5-40 synthetic) but now with the Penrite SIN15 I finally got tappet noise to go away without the use of an additive.
Just thought I would share this info to those who don't like additives etc, and want to find the perfect oil.
That said, the next best was the EDS05 Penrite which only ticked lightly for about 5 seconds on start up.
All this in mind, I've also been using Liqui Moly Engine flush with each change (designed to be used every change) and it's really increased the life of the oil, its going in new, and coming out barely tainted after 5000km. Pretty happy overall.
If anyone else has had similar experience with oils, I would be keen to know what they've used and the result.
Keeping in mind my RVR is stock internals on the motor running a 3" Turbo Back, Tune from VR401 and 16PSI.
