Flocked dash

Ive been trying to find a picture of someone on Team4g who has covered there dash in speaker cloth to look like a flocked dash.

Who is it..........As i just wondered how they managed it

I'd love to have a flocked interior.

you can use hobbie grass for flocking....

its what they use for model railway grass but you can get it
in different colours to suit your interior.

the just get some spray adhesive ans spray it on the dash first
then cover it in the grass.....

the best way is to have a massive bag that you put the dash in after it has
been sprayed with the glue.
then put the grass in the bag also and shake it up to get an even cover
over the dash

theres a place in dandenong that does flocking.
they spray the item with glue and then electrostaticly charge it so the flocking material is attracted to it in an even form instead of being dusted or hazed over.
not sure on cost though, might see if i can get a price this week.

That's obviously the proper way to get 'flocked'.
Still, the home-job on the CB GSR looked great
in my opinion.

I wonder if you can post the items
to be flocked (nothing too big)
and pay for flocking + return postage
and handling?

Bloody internet-communication misunderstandings :lol:
I agree the CB GSR flock looks great.
Tempted to do some parts myself (coin holder,
sunglasses holder) in black.

I can just picture some young lad in his fully-sik pimp mobile
with a flocked dash of green train-model grass :lol:
