1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4.
Silver Aus-spec. 245,000Km on the clock
Stock standard except for:
The car was missing front and rear drive shafts, throttle body, and the AFM. As well as having the front, rear and passenger side windows all smashed in by some unknown culprits while in the possession of a previous owner.
Since owning the car I've replaced the drive shafts, throttle body and AFM and installed a brand new front windscreen. I also used a donor car to replace the rear and passenger side glass (and spent several hours vacuuming up all the smashed glass!). It’s got fresh oil all round, in the engine, gearbox, transfer case and diff.
History of the car
The engine was rebuilt around the 210,000km mark (several owners ago) with the following parts:
Unfortunately I don’t have any receipts for this work.

The car bodywork is in extremely good condition with the exception of scuff marks on the front-left and rear-right bumpers (as shown in the photos). Someone has cut out the centre fins on the front bumper, probably for better airflow... "sigh". The interior is in great condition, it even still has the original leather gear knob and steering wheel, although the head unit has been removed.
There are two main issues with the car:

There are two main issues with the car:
- The syncro on second gear has gone. Shifting up is no problem but you have to double clutch to shift down without crunching. (I have a spare gearbox that can be negotiated with the sale)
- I’m not really sure what state of tune the ostrich ECU is in. The car starts first time, every time and drives fine with plenty of power, but the check engine light is on and I haven’t investigated further to find the issue (engine management systems are not my forte)
Overall the car presents very well, and would make an excellent daily driver or a fantastic base for someone with a small amount of mechanical know-how, wanting to build a project car.
Car is located in Trafalgar, about one and a half hour East of Melbourne, straight down the Monash/Princes freeway.
Asking price, $3,300. No roadworthy certificate.
