For Sale: Proven 225kw Turbo, Manifold and Dump Pipe Setup

Item Description:
Turbo, Manifold and Dump Pipe setup – to be sold as an assembly, will not separate
Reason for sale is that I am moving to a different setup which is more in alignment with the track spec setup and sole use of my car.

This turbo, manifold and dump pipe combination has supported 225kw atw on 20psi on my car and performs amazingly well on the track. Boost is available on tap at any rpm in any gear and the car just pulls to redline. It would be an awesome setup for a street driven 2L and by retaining the TD05H turbine wheel I believe the turbo would also be suitable for a 1.8L.

Bolt on for VR4 and EVO1-3 with slight modification to the front water pipe required to clear the 3” compressor housing on the turbo. Not sure about fitment to the 1.8L as I am unfamiliar with these engines.

There is no gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold so no chance of it blowing out, the nuts for the studs which hold the turbo to the manifold have been professionally lock wired in place so that the chances of them backing off are significantly reduced.

Components:

TURBO:
Turbo was rebuilt by Steve Murch of Motorsport Engineering (MSE) in New Zealand approx 3 years ago.

Details:
TD05H-20G style turbo
Back cut TD05H turbine wheel,
Steve Murch MSE custom 20G style compressor wheel,
Steve Murch MSE custom 3” compressor housing
GT Pumps turbine housing with larger wastegate flapper and extensive hand porting by BJP and HPC coated black
Upgraded 180deg thrust bearing
BJP alloy billet waste gate actuator with heavy duty spring

EXHAUST MANIFOLD:
Stainless steel tubular manifold from Racefab in New Zealand. Been on the car for less than 4 months, fit and finish is excellent.

DUMP PIPE:
3” dump pipe with aero grade heat coating. Bolts directly to the GT Pumps turbine housing and includes metal gasket for the turbine housing. Separate waste-gate outlet which merges back into the main pipe just near the sump.

FITTINGS:
Will include high temp rubber water lines and braided oil line, no oil drain line as I want to use the sump fitting for my new setup.

Price for this setup will be $1500 firm + delivery.
Will post pics soon.

Now For Sale.

Performance from quality parts and the ease of a complete bolt on package* - no need for extensive custom fabrication** or stuffing around trying to source parts.

All the hard work has been done.

*for VR4 and E1-3
**front water pipe requires slight modification to give clearance to compressor housing, work may need to be done to ensure dump pipe matches your exhaust.

Price drop to $1300.

This isn't doing me any good sitting on the desk in the spare room and I could use the $$$ for other things.

This turbo, manifold and dump setup is a no-hassles, bolt on and reliable performance package. Everything has been done properly, just to re-iterate: turbine housing has been hand ported and HPC coated, wastegate actuator has been upgraded, turbo has been rebuilt by well renowned NZ turbo specialist, exhaust manifold is high quality stainless tube.

I think Shayne is really under quoting the power potential of this setup, I made 270kw on 100 octane (10% ethanol)with a very similar turbo on 21psi.
Awesome street turbo, almost no lag on a stroker

Very cheap!!!

^^ Thanks George.

I know it's almost a giveaway price for this setup and there's heaps of potential left in it. I just need the $$$ at the moment.

Perhaps you should buy it for a spare in case your turbo packs it in halfway through a WTAC event..... :p

A few more pics. One shows the assembly installed with the Racefab tubular exhaust manifold and BJP billett wastegate actuator, the other the 3" MSE comp housing vs the stock 16G comp housing and the last one is a front on shot of the whole lot bolted to my engine.

Dyno chart from when the car had this turbo, different tubular manifold, stock wastegate (hence the wiggles in the boost curve!), chipped EVO2 ECU and running 98PULP:
