Is malpassi a good brand? Have heard the name around the forum.

And if an fpr doesn't come with a gauge can one be attached?

Sard is pretty good.
I decided to go with this one :)

Sorry matey, Malpassi is a brand but most guys on here seem to prefer the Sard.
I on the other hand like to be different ( some people would say difficult lol ).

Not from what I could find tharaka :(
I got mine from Summit racing.
The fuel gauge screws into the hole where you can see the brass nipple on the front of th reg.

shall give a rundown of it once I get it installed.

they are the same as the SX FPR,
efihardware sell them..

they go for around the $350 mark...

as for gauge, yes u can add one..

malpassi are decent..
they have small fittings therefor can restrict the return / flow of a high flowing pump..

i've got the same as brisvr4..

i think i'll go for one of them
could you give me a run down on which linkages and bits to buy from the efihardware site to connect it all up

are you going to run braided like ?

are you going to do the full fuel system? (from sender assembly to the fuel filter to the fuel rail to the fpr??

let me know and i can get you a price..
i have a contact in dandy who looks after me with braided / earls fittings..

but a warning.. they are not cheap
a 90 degree -10 fitting i purchased for my oil cooler set me back around $30.00

now think about when u need 5 - 6 fittings...
it adds up mate

nah
just from the fpr to the fuel rail
im only going to replace pretty much what i have to, just to get the job done

do i have to run braided for this? the stock lines wont be good will they?

OK,

Basically i have decided to go sard...I think.

The next most important question is:

Rising Rate or Not Rising Rate. That is the question.

From what i ahve been able to work out RR is harder to tune and you need a quality unit so that the rise is linear, but if done right it is better.

Yes/No/Kinda?

And who tunes them? Is it something i can do? If not is it best to ring the person who is going to tune it and see what they recommend??

Sorry for the longwinded message, but as you can see i know nothing.

You'll need a 1:1 rising rate so the fuel pressure rises with boost.

Once you have it all installed you should power up the fuel pump and set the base pressure.

If you have no idea how to do it i'd get someone else to do it for you.

My complete setup cost me $197 Us from Summit racing.

Not too bad a price, it worked out to just under 300 AU.

Delivery was a bit expensive because I am an impatient sod and wanted it all fast. Got here in 4 days though!

Ok doods im getting a bit ancy.

My injectors are at customs in syd, and my fuel pump is sitting in my room. So can i get your stock standard sard or do i need the type r?

And furthur down the track, i don't think i will be running anything bigger then the 560ccs. So if the answer to the first question is yes i can use a standard sard, would i get any benefits formt he type r?
