when i bought my vr-4, my clutch went after 4 months and that time was xmas 2 yr's ago and being a casual i got the sack around that time.
so i put in the cheap alternative repco (recomended every part comes off)
well 20 000km's it did.
im gettin a evo 6 clutch put in now i drive it pretty hard up to falls creek from mt beauty i can make a time best of 13 min's thats with snow on the road and 2 bus's to overtake and a few suby's what you guy's reckon the life exp.... is on a evo 6 clutch in a vr-4
before next season i am doing a full conversion to gt 30 turbo new pipin after market fuel pump , intercooler, lines, injectors, ported mani , and hopefully and whore to sit in the front yo.
word up.

idont think you can use an evo clutch in a vr4 mate

the vr4's have a different system where the fork pushes the clutch out whereas the later evo's pull i believe..

from what i recall

evo guys, can you confirm??

i would have thought a sprung center brass button clutch would do the trick over a standard component.. i know evo parts are high quality, but still a mass produced vehical, built to be sold for a profit. not that mitsubishi is any good at making money

huh clutches

EVO clutches are a PULL clutch. well done that man.. ive have recently learnt ( the hard way ) about EVO clutches. ive just put a heavy duty single plate in my E1 40% xtra clamp Exedy. not too sure but troopershannon might have one out of his jap spec..
