I had the same problem. Apparently you can- they just try and scam you getting an extra one

slimlines on the back look crap need the normal sized plates at the back slimlines at the front.

correct... ok now for the rules... u CAN have 1 slim ! normal IF they r personaled paltes EG SXYGSR but if it was SXYG5R u can only have NORMAL size.... anything with numbers can only be normal size... like my BLK3VO i could only get Normal size... no slim ones At all...
