For sale, hard to come by front LSD with matching CV cups!

Was going to install it into my VR4 box, but working on getting Getrag to mate up.....

Forgot what exactly the front LSD came from, but should be out of an early EVO 1-3 box

Would need a freshen up if you wanted it to be a little tighter, had no issues scaring the **** out of me when you launched and it would pull to one side..

Not separating the CV cups so dont bother asking..

Will fit FWD and AWD box if you get the correct crown wheel and bearings (or if you machine a stock unit to fit)

$650 pick up vic!

Yep, that's got FWD bearings on it and the pic is of a FWD box.
The LSD centre is an OEM viscous unit and will suit a W5M33 GSR/ GVR4/ EVO AWD gearbox when you put AWD bearings on it, and a viscous front diff crownwheel (different to normal open diff crownwheels as they have a bigger whole in the middle and different stud pattern).

Jayrome, that front diff crownwheel can only be used on a viscous LSD centre so it might be better off going with the LSD as a package.
How many teeth on the crownwheel as it might help people decide to get it.

Are you sure this will fit a FWD box? I tried fitting an early Evo LSD in mine and it was too big to fit in the box? Or do you mean a FWD Galant box?
Not tying to sabotage your sale, just curious.

Yes sorry FWD Galant box, although from memory it was originally fitted to a Cordia box before FRONTN (TMAK) had bought it then passed onto me...

I machined a Factory crown wheel from a FWD Galant box to suit this LSD, does not come with sale (A60EJPH FWD box) . Photo was just for reference.

Front diff's: FWD left, LSD, AWD (centers are all the same, minus one which is front a Magna V6 with higher spline count)

I can post up sizes of the unit for those interested...

They also fit some Mitsubishi FWD gearboxes.
If you look up the part number for any aftermarket LSD like Cusco, Kaaz, Quaife, etc for an EVO I-III (CE9A), it will also list the other cars the LSD is compatible with ;)
For example let's look up the Kaaz website for Mitsubishi LSD's here: http://www.kaazusa.com/lsd_mitsubishi.html
The front diff part number for an EVO I-III has a Kaaz part number DBM2010.
Now look at all the other cars that use the same front LSD that have that part number.
Basically every car below will fit an EVO LSD into it, FWD or AWD transmission, as long as you have a crownwheel that you can bolt onto it. If not, modify an existing crownwheel to suit.

MIRAGE
CC4A 4G92 SUPER R/RS 91.10~95.10 DBM2010
CA4A 4G92 MIVEC Cyborg/RS 91.10~95.10 DBM2010
CB4A 4G92 MIVEC Cyborg 91.10~95.10 DBM2010

MIRAGE ASTI
CA4A 4G92 MIVEC RX 94.01~96.01 DBM2010

LANCER
CB4A 4G92 MIVEC MR 91.10~95.10 DBM2010
CD5A 4G93T AWD Turbo GSR Lancer DBM2010 (I added this line)

LANCER EVO
CD9A & CE9A 4G63 EVO I・II・III 92.01 - 96 DBM2010

ECLIPSE
FWD NON-TURBO 88.05-93.05 DBM2010
FWD NON-TURBO 88.05-93.05 DBM2010
FWD TURBO 88.05-93.05 DBM2010
AWD 1G TURBO 88.05-93.05 DBM2010
AWD 2G TURBO 93.06-99.08 DBM2010

GALANT
E38A/E39A FWD/AWD 4G63 Galant (I added this line)

That's what I thought, but I think they make the Kaaz unit smaller to ensure the same part fits across multiple gearboxes. It's just the casing on the factory LSD that seems to be bulkier. I'm pretty sure my box is the same as the mirage Cyborg?

Yep, factory. But I know the kaaz lsds have the same part number listed across cyborg, GSR, Evo and GTi.

Aaahh normal FWD Lancer and Proton casings aren't really based on the "W" series bellhousing.
Where is it hitting? the crownwheel around the inner gearbox casing or is the LSD just too tall and you cant put the castings together?
Perhaps you will need to get your hands on a proper Cyborg box then mate, or a GSR/EVO/RVR/GVR4 W5M33 box and throw in a 2WD locking spline.

Can't remember where the issue was, my gearbox guy just said there was no way of getting it in. But the Kaaz fit fine and is doing a great job, gearbox is still in one piece too (touch wood).
