Fuel and Oil and Oil in Fuel

For people with Evo 1,2,3 4G63's do you mind asnswering the following.

1. How many K's on average after an oil change is the oil black?
2. Does the oil smell like Fuel? and how strong?
3. How many litres on average do you receive back out of the motor after each oil change, and at what K's of course.

Im wondering this because, my motor, healthy as it seems, can turn the oil black at around 3k and it smells a little of fuel. I have no blowby issues that I'm aware of. After 3k the stick read the same level as the day the change was done, so, no apparent oil lose is occuring either.


I remeber on the VR4, I'd put 5 in and get about 3-3.5 out every time, and near shit myself, it was pretty healthy also...so maybe they like using some oil...?

I have the same deal with my RVR. It uses a litre of oil every 1500kms which is quite a bit. It doesn't blow any smoke when flooring it or on start up, but if I leave it idling for 5+ mins, it'll blow a big puff of blue smoke which i've put down to valve stem seals. My car starts and stops 10-30 times a day (work) which doesn't help either, so i'm guessing that i'm losing the oil whilst idling. Apart from that it goes sweet- I might get the valve stem seals replaced when the VR4 cams go in when I go turbo.

1. I usually change my oil every 5000kms, Its still clean at that time.
2. Oil doesn't smell like fuel (had fresh rebuild approx 15000kms ago.
3. Not sure, never really measured.
