fuel pump and FPR

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

good stuff
its not cheap i tell ya!

speed flow /earls...

get the push ons to save money, and time.
braided stuff is nice but takes time and experience to do.
if you dont know what you are doing, u'll end up scratching the fittings / killing the braided line and hurting you fingers!!

push on earls / speed flow can look just as good and can hold up the fuel pressures without any issues.

keep us updated with pics

i can get all the fittings and braided hose through work, get it on a 50' roll, so depending on price i will probably use that

yes, dremel or fine disc cutting disc.

and a vice if u dont have one to hold the hose / fittings

also some 90 degree alloy...
so when u clamp the fittings in the clamp, the allow wont scratch the fittings
rags and some vasso or lub...

Don't forget band-aids! LOTS of band-aids!!

had a look on the vfaq last night, but there was only a guide to upgrading the supply line, i was going to do the return line as well, would be the same basically as the supply line just with a fpr instead of a filter.

braided all the way for a return????

there isn't a need, just run it from the fpr to the stock return line.

Aeromotive FPR, Holley Fuel Rail, Earls (Holley) Fuel filter, Earls -AN connections and braided lines everywhere :D Looking to incorporate a twin in-tank Walbro system if I can and thicker alluminium tubing from the fuel tank to the firewall  From what I've gathered along the way and from people who have owned them, Malpassi have problems and dont work properly. I've been at the tuners and had the tuner rip one out and throw it into the bin because he said they sucked. Best to stick with Aeromotive A1000 -6AN (red/silver) model or SARD FPR's (however SARD have smaller -4AN fittings which look to be very restrictive IMO). Some tuners who know Mitsu well will swear by the stock FPR in most cases and advise that you dont need to upgrade them unless you are going for really big HP.

being on the return line it doesn't need to be as big as on the supply line, so i think that -4AN will be fine for my application

oh I addedd the bit about the stock FPR. Some tuners see no need to change them cause they work well for most applications.
