FWD GALANT mods

Hi Guys (Jayrome especially)

What mods have you guys done on your FWD GALANT?

I'm looking at upgrading the AMG suspension bits.
I went for a drive in it (yes its running!!) and it felt a little sloppy even with the hotbits coils overs.

The only bits I could find were:

I don't really need front stuff except for poly bushes as I already have camber plates and a UR strut brace which doesn't clear the AMG intake manifold lol.. Anybody want to swap a brand new UR strut brace for a whiteline strut brace?

I've got the rears too!

stock sway but my Tein/JIC dont really move much

245/45ZR16 on -6deg camber (+22 offset does help)

theres a better upgraded sway bar link kit you can get thats thicker and doesnt use ball joints... saw it in the pedders book..


other wise everything else has to be custom.... they neglected to make aftermarket parts for the AMG/GSR models....

Dre put Tein coilovers in the front of my old GGSR, they were really stiff!
By putting some softer struts up front (that way you wouldn't fell so much of the shudder when the wheels spin but it still didn't roll that much either) and harder ones on the rear, the car handled way better around corners, could almost pretend to keep up with the AWD lads.
Mine had polyurethance bushes in the front end as well, and only a cusco strut brace up front.

Hmmm, you didn't have it on Ebay recently did you Jerome?

The one you're thinking of Tim was vice versa, owner thought he was getting a GGSR one but was for VR4.

No Mo, that one was actually a GGsr bar. The VR4 bar is more of a V shape and the GGsr one is more of a U .
I sent him a message a pic of a VR4 bar and he pulled the advert.

they should be the same...... what did it hit in the engine bay?

The sway bar is for the Rear Jay.

Pictures look different to the VR4 ones.
So I'm probably gonna take it providing the price is right!

Edit: wait a min.... GSR's dont have sway bar points on the back...... none that i can remember...
