Even with stock power levels your sending all the drive thru the transfercase not half. If you've had a look at one of these transfercases they are not the strongest of things. You are just going to waste your money and perfectly good transfercases for the rest of us.

If you want a RWD do it properly like the north south conversion.

but that said, it's an easy conversion. do what baz said..

if it was a permenant thing i'd look into a stronger diff/driveshaft setup..

the other thing to remember is u most likely have an open rear diff, so u will only be dropping one-leggers everywhere. I think Jacks VR4 lasted about a year in RWD with a 4-bolt, but that includes entering drift comps etc so it had a good work out!
 
Not that long! I reckon Jack's 4-bolt lasted 4 months. I don't know about any of you but I wouldn't want to waste a perfectly good - rare - 4-bolt!
 
Yeah but as VR-4-PLAY mentioned, it really got a good workout..

The replacement is still live and kicking..

The only successful RWD vr4 in the world I know of has a north-south layout with a sigma turbo box and a tailshaft. The other specs I could go into but frankly, I don't like your idea one bit and i'm not going to give you the information.

You are in my opinion ruining the essence of the vehicle.

Hmm, if you put a 9 inch in though, you will sacrifice your suspension set up, unless you modify the diff dramatically.

A tough diff that will probably fit better is the 300zx (z31) turbo diff. (also in other nissans, its the R200 diff) They're mostly LSD (from z31's) and the car has independent rear suspension so you *may* be able to adapt it.

Of course, if you just want to do burn outs, it hardly matters.
 
thats why I think the Jag rear would be good as its independant rear and there very strong

I know a guy who races a Jag V12 HE coupe and its on a LSD rear and this thing is quick
