good day to every one im so new here, got problem with the exhaust popping alot when hitting the throttle 100% and when releasing. and i was wondering if i can put td05-16g from a evo 1,2,3? thx
AFR and timing data???? really no idea not good at cars really, really dont know if its a hsg or ssg, some1 told me that if i can find a evo 3 turbo with mani it will be great mmm.Benzo4gT said:Is it happening on acceleration as well as deceleration? If decel is when it occurs it could be a rich mix with a restricted exhaust, the fuel mix half burns and then hits fresh air and ignites with a bang.
What is your AFR and timing data? I'm certain someone around here will know much more than I do regarding this.
Is it a '63 from a HSG? If it's from an SSG you will need to port your exhaust manifold a bit to make the best use of the 7cm housing on the 16g hotside housing, it's a pain in the arse but can be done in
a pinch, I mean a REAL pain in the arse. You'd be better off sourcing an evo 3 ex. mani.
Here are some quick comparo pics that show the difference between an SSG and Evo 3 Manifold. The bolt pattern is the same but there are clear differences in size and therefore flow. I do have the
difference in flow figures, but I don't want to fling Nerd around the place.
Hope this helps
yes! through exhaustleon r said:You can use put in 16G turbo, but I am not sure if that would solve your problem. Are you back-firing, through exhaust?
AFR - Air Fuel Ratio, you can buy gauges for this that are relatively inexpensive, not overly accurate, but they will indicate if your car is running rich (too much fuel) or lean. A very good investment.bader said:AFR and timing data???? really no idea not good at cars really, really dont know if its a hsg or ssg, some1 told me that if i can find a evo 3 turbo with mani it will be great mmm.
0.6 bar, rvr's ecu dont know the code thoughvr401 said:Maybe hitting boost cut? What boost do you run And what ecu you use?
ok ill try to buy afr thing , timing?Benzo4gT said:AFR - Air Fuel Ratio, you can buy gauges for this that are relatively inexpensive, not overly accurate, but they will indicate if your car is running rich (too much fuel) or lean. A very good investment.
Yeah, evo 3 setup will be a good choice for sure.
Timing might be part of it, but it's hard to tell.
