Hi to all on this forum, this is my first post so please be patient, I am useless on a computer.

I need to find out when my rally car was made, when imported into the UK and its history so that I can restore it back to its original colours and spec.

MODEL NUMBER....E-E39A-SNPF

CHASSSIS......E39A-0007328

TRANS..... KM225 3545

TRIM....09A......0000

I have lots of photos and so far it looks like it has had at least seven different colour schemes.
The rear axle has had the 4 wheel steer removed and its a 4 bolt B2B 3.545....non viscous, but not looked inside yet.
Fitted with MOTORDRIVE seats with a date stamp showing ......06/1990
The car was supposed to be built by BLAZE MOTORSPORT and is written with marker pen near the chassis i/d tag and says BLAZE #01.....
On top of the drivers side front strut is written S1....obviously this may be just be coincidence.

The car was definitely white from new but looks like a metalic blue donor car has been used for parts, including a rear floor pan.

I have rang co-orsport and left info with Simon who is supposed to be contacting me if they have any records.

Hope someone out there can help as well and am sure I will be posting more questions shortly.
If I can find out how to post pics I will do asap.

Regards to all CHRIS PALMER.

Hi many thanks for the info, been searching for hours to see whether the car is a genuine BLAZE/RALLIART ....CO ORDSPORT have failed to answer my email so far.

I have peeled the paint from the bonnet and it shows.....

.................J+S AUTO CITY WHEELS OF WANNEROO.......Looks like the bonnet was originally black, it also has holes which were filled for the lamp pod.

I tried to put some pics on this website but can't seem to do it !!!!

thanks again...Chris

was the car imported into the UK as a rally car or was it built over there? is there an MSA pass or log book for it?

cheers

Hi thanks for the reply,
The car was imported into the UK on 23/01/91 but manufactured in 03/03/1988. The current RAC logbook is dated from 1997 but numerous parts on the car are
WILLANS blue seat belts 1988.....MOTORDRIVE seats 06/1990...and plastic door pillar trim from 1988....etc etc......looking at the earlier Starion turbos makes me think a lot of the parts on my VR4 came from the same place...
I think the first rally with a VR4 was in the USA with Michael LIEU and was a group N car. The homologation number was A5364 .
I will see about signing into photobucket but not too clever on a p/c.

Regards and thanks again for reply Chris

with a bolt in cage, i doubt very much this was ever a works car, chances are its just been put togeather by a workshop or an individual somwhere so finding any history on it i think would be very very hard.

I would suggest you contact the original owner in the UK as listed in the log book, if not contact the MSA or RAC they may have records of previous owners/events its competed in.
