Gday, this is my introduction. I just found this site and it rocks. Im an Australian living in Japan for 5 years now, 3 years in the car industry. A few years ago, a work mate bought an Evo3, and I just could not believe these things were legal and allowed on the roads. I wasnt really into cars until then. A year later, I bought my own. And its all history since then.

I am working as a wrecker and exporter of containers and whole cars. Please contact me about any rare hard to find parts. Even in Japan its very hard to find this kind of stock.

Cheers,

Simon

Yo

Yeah, my current ride is due for legal export to Aussie as a personal import in about 4 months. Its the love of my life, but cause I bought an original 92 Evo with a total HKS engine rebuild and super dooper racing clutch, I wanna send my current Evo3 to Australia, and I wanna offer it to you guys first.

My car has done 105,000 kms, and has HKS suspension and a big bore stainless sexy exhaust. Ive just put a new clutch cylinder in it. Cause I blew the last one racing young jap guys in the mountains. :D I put back the orriginal OZ racing alloys on it, cos I actually preffer those wheels for driving, with Potenza tyres. For a good offer , I will offer a wicked set of alloys. And maybe some digital turbo bits and pieces.........

Cheers,

Simon

What sort of price are you looking at mate?

More than I'd be willing to pay  :p

Is there much VR4 stuff in the wreckers over there?

Actually, yeah - good question.

How did you go about moving over there Simon?

Did you teach english? Did you go over with Nova or one of those places?

I am keen to do it in a few years but I don't have a degree.

yeah sorry mate late response.

I came over here on a working holiday visa 5 years ago. Its pretty easy to get, I think theyve extended it to 18 months now. English teaching jobs are really easy to get, and generally you dont need a degree. The money is OK, but not fantastic. But certainly enough to live well ( and buy an Evo3 and send it home :p )

As far as Nova and the other large English corporations go, I do not recommend them. Its better to come over with them, and then bail as soon as possible and work for a smaller school. I landed in Japan without a job or house and within 4 days had a job working in a bar.

Ive still got a few connections in the industry, so I can hook you up if you wanna do the big plunge.

Wow that sounds good! :D

I'm currently working contract with the Government, but hopefully I'll go permenant soon. Once that happens I will work full time for about a year and take leave without pay for a while so I can travel and hopefully go to Japan.

Just need to convince the missus...
