4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

also if it helps...i have a twin plate OS giken clutch (the one with the pressed steel face, not the anodised alloy one)

i think thats one of the reasons why the box died too!

should i sell that one and get a heavy duty organic one? coz thats what someone told me to do....

cheers.

i know someone that went through about 4 excel gearboxes in a year on a standard excel, so that probly isn't what you want

Perhaps you should goto the evocrew.com website and chat with a few people in regards to RVR's as they're quite similar to each other in shape. Also they share several parts as well i've noticed. I realise ur's is an older shape but certain things my still also apply for you too. I know becos i'm at the moment sourcing springs for my 95 Super Sports Gear Mitsubishi RVR 4WD 4G63T. (for those who don't know already - a mini van/evo/nimbus)

I've found that Rear shocks and springs are the same as some nimbus (Pending on models).
And fronts are quite similar to a GSR lancer. Becos their springs are 140mm *same as RVR's and certain Nimbus's* as opposed to it's lil bro the GLXI CC sedan at 120mm.

Anyways, i suggest u source out what other 4G63's out there that may fit for ur particular gearbox. Have u even tried looking at RVR's? You might even find u could just upgrade to an complete RVR set up maybe?
All depends on where you wanna go with it really. Perhaps you may be better off buying a RVR altogether. If your lookin at a Nimbus style for your ride then maybe it's time for some 4WD turbo action in your blood! Oh and don't forget you can always simply adjust it back to 2WD when you please. That way you'll have a more recent model of the 4G63T as well as your gearbox setup. Think about your advantages! So check out www.evocrew.com and ask a few RVR owner some questions. We're happy to help

Cya there. :D
