Can anyone please check on the part number of the CC 4G93T GSR 1800cc DOHC Turbo EFI piston, and the 4G93 SOHC 1800cc EFI piston. I wonder if they are the same number as both engines supposedly share the same rods, it would be interesting to find out. cheers

Der... thats what this thread is for lol  Some guys have CAPS and can check online. Mitsu wanna know chassis #'s

Hey Rob,

Sorry 4G93T has a 7cc dish and 4G93 NA is a flat top, and yes the turbo rods are the same as the NA items so now we all know why we break them !!!! & sorry don't have the part numbers only know from first hand experience  Oh and also stock turbo piston has 4G9T cast into it and NA has 4G9 casting

On the topic of GSR rods and them breaking, who knows of who/ what/ where to get some bigger better stronger ones from? I dont wanna put 2l 4G63 in I just wanna improve the 93T that I have!!

Thanks for earlier Daz but we ended up raiding another 4G93T for a spare piston in the meantime :D . ARGO also have 4G93T forged items. You can even use Ford TX3 Turbo rods with minor modification too from memory.... :)

Pauter and PAR also make forged rods for the 4G93.

I also think Crower do them, but I am unsure where you can get them from.

Mazda/Ford BPD and B6T engines are also worth looking into. With the TX3 rods beware of the ones from the BPT engine as they are as toothick thin at the 4G93 ones.
