Looks great!!

Hey Mitch, if you are running just stainless steel wool as the baffle in the catch can, you will still get oil in the intake. What you need to find is a coalescing material, to fully seperate the oil from the air. With that, they would be the perfect catch can for the early evo/gsr.

Good idea to get all of the oil mist but a coalescing material will cause a pressure build up in the crank case, this is exactly what we are trying to avoid. If you had a dry sump system you might be able to use it and it would be great. Alot of catch cans/oil air separators are just empty containers, the stainless steel wool is a cheap and effective method to get more of the oil out of the air.

Hey Trippy
With the catch can, even running the steel wool, you are not going to be able to remove the oil from the air vapour entering the can. To me, it seems a bit counter productive to plumb this air back into the intake.
There are quite a few coalescing filter mediums, that will not cause any pressure build up. I've used them with great success in the past. The one I am using now, I outsourced to Craig as he could get the medium I use for a far more affordable price.
You tend to generate enough pressure in the intake, to remove any pressure build up from the crankcase, providing that filter isnt restrictive.
I understand your concerns though, but it is possible to achieve without any pressure build up.

We have decided we don't have the time right now to persue this as work commitments come first.
Thanks for your interest ;)
