4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

here u go, it's not really that hard, most relay packets have it all on the back of them.
note this is just a basic wiring diagram, all you do is cut the wire you want to upgrade close to the light and use that as the trigger wire, run new cable from battery to power on the relay and the wire that is left over going into the light goes on acc on the relay.

cool thanks,

im assuming theres 2 power wires that goes into the headlight plug/loom... have people upgraded both or just 1...

going by the diagram above also, the headlights would be drawing power directly from the battery via the relay?

To do it properly you should use fuses, and four relays, like shown....

clearly I had to much time on my hands....

Edit: all fixed.... I hope.
I think that that is how the wires go into a H4 globe - use a test light!

im guessing thats the same globe but it has 2 power wires running to it, hence a relay/thicker gauge wire on each...

Richard has done it right.

GVR40, i have no idea what your diagram is, to me it is way wrong :p

It should be like Richards, the light switch turns on the relay, and the globes run from the battery, through the relay, to the globes which connect to ground using the new thicker wire. You dont want the high voltage running through the light switch :)

Richard just needs to label the relay triggers for low beam (Low Beam Switch 1) and for high beam (High Beam Switch 2), they're not the same switch, but I think everyone understands anyway.

i run fused relays (They have a blade fuse in each one 8) )
And 1 x Low, 1 x H4 high, 1 x H1 high, 1 x Spotties (25Amp fused Hella relays)

the wire going from the battery to the switch is to demonstrate the factory wiring going to the switch in the car, all the relays i run use an inbuilt fuse which is changeable hence why i didn't put that it, and i did say it is a simple wiring diagram as i was on my way to work, my diagram gives the basic principles of where the wiring is meant to go, as it was intended to.
