Howdy,

Just wondering here. Please dont blast me for this question , but its something i was wondering about.

Having the obvious differance between 1.8 and 2L motors, would a 1.8L with a bigger turbo, re-tune and cams be able to keep up with a stocl 2L on the street?

Reason for my question is, once i will be looking for a GSR, it would be nice to have one with an evo conversion already performed, but from what i see the safest way is to pickup a stock GSR that is un-molested and start from there.

I also want to keep air-con for our 40+ summers, and opening the window will not cut it.

Please share your opinions.

it can be made to keep up but getting power out of the 2l is much easier.

td05 16g
evo afm
evo injectors
and evo ecu
should see a fair increase in power over stock from there you start getting into the more involved mods such as a retune other turbos etc

Just get an already converted GSR mate, make sure its got a/c, or if u have the coin get a stock GSR and buy an EVO2/3 halfcut, that will come with all the A/C

yea get one already converted i dont the 1.8 build and boy its money alright to make power but if i brought a 2 ltr would of been cheaper and easier

4G93T can be made fast and reliable on the cheap. Mine owed me about 400$ in mods and was good enough to take down some gtr's. This is all copied from msport, I put about 50 passes and daily driving on this combo before it was pulled down for forges. Everything including bearings that came out were all mint. I did about 15 passes in a row one meet, I was the only one racing for about 2h and these were back to back with no rests in between.
