GVR4 & data log guru's needed

Hi there guys , I have a 1990 E38 RS VR4 with a chipped 427 (j-spec) ecu. The chip is a Meek chip that works great apat from the ECL being on. ( I did know this before fitting the chip. )

Error 42 ( fuel pump ) sense.

The trouble I'm having is I have wired my LC1 into the EGR input but I can not get anything to happen on the palm MMCd software.

I have changed EGR input to WB02 but it just stays on 18.7AFR. I do have the LC1 connected to a guage as well so I can see what I should be. I want to be able to log AFR & when I get it work , I will also wire in my spare GM3bar . I will wie on a 3 way switch so the LC1 or the 3bar can be logged.

I also tried plugging in my aspec ecu with the meek chip, but the same result.

Any help????

I had a meek chip with the same error on a md165808 ecu.

Swapped to a razza chip and all was good.

1.8g was the last version of mmcd. If you have the lc1 wired correctly to the ECU and have EGR changed to WB02 so it shows in the logging area, you then need to reprogram the LC1 if you haven't already. From memory the stock output for the second sensor is narrowband 1v so it can be used to replace the stock 02 sensor.

The way I did it was turn the car to "on" and the LC1 will read the lean mix in the air, try to marry this up on the scale on the LC1 to get the logger to show the same. Start the car, then turn it off (maybe after a few mins if you like) and it should be reading around the 15ish mark. Use the scale again on the LC1 to marry up to show the same as the guage again. That SHOULD give you 2 data points that will give you a good scale to work with. You may still need to adjust/fine tune it a bit. It's pretty hard to get 100% accurate but I think mine's usually within 0.2 AFR. I can have a look at the scale(s) I used and post that up but not sure when I'll get to it.
