Headlight Removal

Hey Guys can someone please tell me how to reomove the headlight assembly on my 92 Galant, cheers peeps

Ok,
1. Remove Grille.
2. Remove front indicator ( there is a spring that holds it in place, if you look at where the indicator would be from inside the engine bay you will see it )
To remove it slide the whole light forward being careful not to break the locating tabs.
3. In the spot where you removed the indicator from you will see 3 x 10mm bolts, you want to undo the top and bottom bolt. and then just undo the two bolts that are normally behind the grille and you are good to go.

If that isn't clear enough I can take some pics for you

Like what Tim said, once you get the grille and indicator out, its fairly straight forward.

Leave the main rubber boot/seal on the back of the headlight though, and pop the plastic plugs off the middle of the boot/seal, with a bit of strength.

Im gonna pop the glass out take out the chrome and paint it black, I got a DIY about it Faux JDM Headlights, they look HOT!!!

yeah I did the ones in my GGSR, looked cool. Used the oven, 5 mins onm 140 degrees. Dont forget to remove the clips FIRST

I left mine in the oven for about 10 minutes at 140, it was super easy to get them apart, although they were, naturally, really hot haha.... the sealant didn't "snap" apart? If that makes sense, so when I re-heated them to put them back together, I didn't need to add extra sealant.

Yeah gonna heat em' in the oven, i got told 100 open oven for 10 min, might see bout making some eyelids to my bro has a DIY in a Autosalon mag 8)

i just used a heat gun to heat the area, pryed them apart with a flatty and stanley blande run across the hot glue to make it a lil less messy than just pulling em apart (that glue will stretch for miles while its hot lol)
but yeh i think they look a hundred times better blacked out.
it was one of the first visual mods i did to my car.
although i wonder if it has any adverse effects on the light reflection through the lense??

What about a light coat of Niteshade will that have any effect on vision we did do an old headlight that no longer works to see how it looks from the outside, looked hot (light smokey look) and i dont think that light of a coat would have any effect on drivers vision, what do you all think

Do i need to take of the front side fender

No, just the indicator.
