When having the indicator on to turn left while the headlights are on, upon turning right and the Indicator goes off making the headlights flicker at the same time. Does not do it when turning right.

Any ideas what it could be?

Id do these 2 things to start off with:
1. Check that the plug going into the back of your headlight isnt filled with gunk. Sometimes there is dirty white paste in them that needs cleaning and re-doing. Basically clean the plug and try it.
2. Grab a spare wire from somewhere and temporarily put one end on the negative terminal of the battery with the other end of the wire going into the back of the earth plug in the headlight. This will give the headlight a direct negative earth in case the earth going to the headlight is a bit dodgey somewhere (ie freyed at the plug or something).

sorry mrsz, not mean to hijack your topic but it is sorta related. My headlights in my hsg are about as bright as Julia Gillard. anyone know what globes to install to so i can see shit before I actually hit it up here. Am trying to stay away from the blue blue wanky colours. :D

check you are getting battery voltage to the globes first and check the earths are good (point 2 from evo00x) then check reflectors are clean then if still dull go for the 4300k hid kit (not blue very much at all)

For Warbo: Another thing to check is the headlight alignment. Been in some cars where all it needed was a slight adjustment up, and it was improved.

cheers, have already checked alignment after getting sick of light picking shit up out in the bushes instead of the road. But broke one of the plastic gears on the bottom of the adjustment bolt when adjusting. Think plastic was getting brittle from old age. A second hand adjustment mechanism was going to cost me $20 from an already smashed light in a wrecking yard up here so I told the guy to stick it up his ar..e. I mean what else was he going to do with a smashed front light.........put in on ebay??? Anyway the plastic gears (sort of like a diff) are the same on many mitsi's, although the bolt length differs. And yes will try cleaning the reflector and definitely try running a direct earth as indicated before looking at the above kit. cheers.
