Hearing and feeling a thudding sound when braking

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this before. I went to gas up tonight and as I was going home I pressed the break I heard and felt a 'thud' sound. The stops and everything but it feels like something is loose or about to fall off. It happens intermittently, like while I'm driving and press the brake, you don't really notice it. But when I press the brake again you hear it.
Going to have it checked out asap but thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone might know what it is.
Btw, my car has got Evo 3 front calipers on, would this have any effect - but they were installed at least 4 years ago.

have you checked the nuts and bolts around the brake calipers? my mate had a similar sound and he said the bolts that hold the calipers in where lose. hopfully its something simple and easy to fix, i dont see having evo 3 brakes would cause it since alot of people have them.

Problem solved.
Cause: Front right lower control arm bushing was half gone/chewed.
Solution: Replaced it! Feels like brand new
