Has anyone had issues with firewall splitting due to a heavy duty clutch.
I here it is a common issue with the Gsr.

Worked out over the weekend the issue when i noticed a creaking noise, and clutch been a little sloppy!

hear they put square rectangular sheet metal on both sides then re-wald it!

anyone had it done?

also here cusco have adapter or something!

i found the bolt holes in that template to be too big might want to check
that before drilling them.

i made the plate up the did not use it, i used a 1.5 mm plate with ribs
and got it welded on the inside

if you search, you will find this has been discussed before.
I know i answered it a couple times.

There are a couple of options, there is a template which is basically a square that you can either weld or just bolt up to the firewall for strength.

Or, you can cut another firewall or bit of, from another CC and use that.

Also, check your pedal box and make sure it hasn't caused it to start to crack aswell.

If its the pedal box meek.com.au have the revised Mitsu one for around the 80-90 mark from memory its made from thicker metal.

I would strongly suggest still using the template reinforcement plate preferred if you can get it welded in, or it can be just sandwiched in between pedal box and fire wall from interior side.

Not to sure on the incorrect whole hole sizes on my template, as i have made up and fitted around three of these made off my template^listed above and haven't had any fitment issues.
