Hello and a story of the mild mods on my CC GSR, so far

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Still not allowed to upload, not sure if its permitted but I could change the suffix of the ECM link file from "elg" to "csv" and try... if thats a no no I have asked if I can be authorised in same thread where I got CSV files sorted

My Hillman Hunter GT blew its engine with in 6 weeks of buying it, used my holiday savings to put a reco motor in it, had rust, worn out steering box, non working speedo, tacho, etc etc, I was a young student so just kept patching it. Got about 4 years out of it, sold it to a Hillman wreckers for $35.

man, i had to start the laptop up....
im no guru with this so maybe wait for confirmation from someone else.
you need to add combinedft and mafraw. (right click in the log screen and it is in captured values)

i think you are rich rich rich. though your tune is fine, i think its not calibrated to your engine. there is no mafcomp done.
look at the log from 863 to 870 seconds. press ctrlQ till the screen is blank. then add throttlepos (so you can see full throttle time) knockret (little knock- good), then add boostest (are you really running 15psi boost?)

if you are then all is good. if not then your mafcomp table is out. vr401 may have a mafcomp table for your maf (what number is it)
if your boostest is above actual boost then the engine thinks it is getting more air than it actually is and it is adding more fuel than it needs. hence the rich rich rich bit above.
the fix is to lower the mafcomp at that point till the boostest and boost (you need to buy/install/log boost) are the same. or add a wideband02 sensor and buy/install/log afr and match afrest to actual afr. the wideband is the best choice as we are real short on spare ecu inputs.

remember i am a newbie at tuning cars with computers so dont bet your house on it

check this guys first log out. the wideband and afrest are pretty close. but he is sd so thats why he has no mafadjustments

Also, I think I recall your throttle position is 3% when your foot is off throttle. Check you have enough accel cable slack to close throttle properly. If so check the demos at ecmlink. 1 of them shows how to calibrate tps. May as well enable idle switch as well.
