i've got one for sell troy. i'm after 24.5k for it, slightly nego.

i'm just waiting for compliance plates, which should come by end of this week, all ready to be registered. freshly imported, used as a test car for a raws workshop, so everything is ec. it was an auction grade 4c.

pm for more details if you like..

Troy - there's an import car-yard on Bell Street just down from the Bell St Maccas that's had a white E6 on display for a while now. I can't remember what the name of the yard is but they're up the Preston end, past the pub. They also had a silver E7 but I haven't seen that for a while, they might have sold it or shifted it to the back of the lot.

i read on a forum ages ago that they are dodgy people...

dont know though, just a heads up..

I say go for the vr4 stay with the vr4 if your going for another car go for e6 number #1
easy to find parts
#2
price of parts are alot cheaper then gto
#3
alot cheaper to run
#4
Evo's are the shiz
#5
GTO's are for tosser's

There are actually a few E6's for sale in Melb atm, that your pic for the colour, white / silver / black / purple (looks blue darkish) is that a factory colour?

Evo 6 is my choice for the reason of it is an Evo.
I do like GTO tho, I did owned one before 2 years ago.
2 doors car is not my choice any more (unless it ferrari) :p

You have obviously never worked on a GTO. If you had there would be no question in your mind, Evo 6 it must be.
Silver Evo 6 with dark rims.....YES

Don't ask other people to pick your car for you. Go with what you want.

Wake up troy.

I second that. Most people on this forum probably haven't even driven, let alone owned, a GTO or EVO6 so in all honesty what makes their opinions the basis for you to choose a car?

The only way you are going to know what you want is to go out and inspect/test drive and research as many GTOs and EVO6s you can in the real world. Go out to yards and private sellers, pop the bonnets and see how much engine bay space you have to work on them, enquire about spare parts so you know for a fact how much you might be looking at to maintain your ride throughout its life. Talk to importers and dealers. Advanced Jap (forum sponsor) bring in cars... What have they got to offer?

Also - Just because you found one EVO7 with rust doesn't mean you should write off all EVO7s. My mate scored a mint E7 for $25K from Advanced Jap with 52,000 klm on the clock and he hasn't looked back since.

Don't mean to sound harsh mate - but would hate to see you buy something and have it turn out to be a dud and end up costing you alot of money and grief.

theres a late model gto in mill park/bundoora area. fk it looks hot!!!! all you need is a flawless red paintjob and lower it on 19s.

They have 3 E6's, going up this arvo to check them out.
nice.
look out for the GTR out the front aswell. :D
Seen that one Alex, looks hot as!! They got real road presence. I luv em.
But yeh, do your research Troy.

Dont worry, i am reading lots about everything, the GTO is nice, but some people say they are spending 1-2k each month of fixing/improving things, and thats something i can just not afford at the moment. Buying a house, car, and keeping a GTO running and on the road (Parts from the US take ages)

Ill keep the GTO a dream, and have lots of fun in the EVO. Pitty the E6 doesnt have the centre handbrake disconnect, just need more POWERZ :D

by what YOU like stick with your first preference otherwise you will end up selling up and buying one later anyways.

E6 for the reason repeated a number of times already, the GTO is a posing car that carries alot of weight (1400–1710 kilograms sound right??) and parts are a PITA to find.

If that wasn't enough, the E6 would munch the GTO around the track.
