hi. my name is boz. I was introduced to this forum by cheeks. I have a 1991 CB GSR with some serious issues!!! I lent my car to a friend. He rang me to inform me that my car had broken down on the highway. After cursing him a little, I went and collected it.

He said "I don't know what happened but smoke started coming out from the bonnet and I pulled over".

When I checked it at home it had minimal oil. At the scene, there was oil on the ground and on the transmission in the engine bay but none on the bonnet.

At home I found that the return hose from the heater had snapped on the firewall. When I checked the radiator, it was dry.

The car turns over but will not fire.

Please help me...

By the sounds of it, it has been cooked. The smoke would have been steam. Don't know why there would be oil there though, maybe find the source of the oil leak to see if that's a concern or not.

Pull the plugs out and see if you can turn the motor by hand or whether it has started to seize.

i ran into that exact same problem about a year ago heater hose snapped radiator ran dry except the only problem was the head didnt warped.

when it detonated because of the heat inside the combustion chamber it smashed between the combustion chamber and collant gallery

i think you might find that the ignition leads have swollen and have caused them too not be able too send a current through the lead too the spark plugs

has there always been a oil leak or not

check underneath oil cap see if milky substance under oil cap
