hks air filter problem?

hey guys i recently switch to a evo afm and a HKS green " mushroom ' style air filter with 3.14" ( 80mm ) neck - 200mm Diameter my ecu chipped to run evo afm put when you driving and go to change gear its like the air filter is fluttering is it to big to much air ? do i need to switch to a 3inch air filer , any help would be great thanks

I had this issue and it was a pain to fix. I ended up changing out the maf senor and going to a 3inch air filer which fixed my issue. hope this helps HOrse =)

I have one on my RB20 and the stock relief valve is very audible.
I think they generally allow a lot of the sound to come back out the filter.

I have 4 inch k&n filter with 3 inch intake and a 055 maf sensor , you can really hear the bov when changing gears and its a turbosmart kompact recirc too. I would be putting it down to the bov being more audible with bigger filter and intake

i have a 50mm bov since ive changed to this filter and evo afm ive had this problem.. but i havnt really took it out on open roads so ill see wat it does

If your BOV is adjustable then try loosening the spring a bit and see if that shuts it up.

have changed the filter to a 3inch inlet one and its swt now thanks everyone!!
