Old vr4 ran 35% fronts, 5% b-pillar back.
At night, reversing is a pain in the arse. Idiots behind you with badly aligned lights don't bother you tho

My eyes are bad enough as they are. I don't need tint to help me cause more accidents.

its accually legal to put whatever u want on non driving windows. which is anything b pillar back, & yes 35% is the legal minimum for ur front 2

id beleive it if vic road$ has made it 35 all round, after all they do finance victoria

In Victoria you can have 5% from the b-pillar back excluding commercial vehicles where the windows from the b-pillar back can be completely obscured. In any vehicle, the driver and front passenger door windows may have a MAXIMUM of 35% tint including if fitted 1/4 windows (such as fitted to many old cars and 4x4's). The windscreen must remain UNOBSCURED excluding the top 10% or 100mm whichever is SMALLER, this section may be completely obscured such as for the purposes of signwriting or blocking of the sun in vehicles not equipped with sunvisors.

Oh and for the record, my VR4 which I sold has 5% tints b-pillar back and 35% fronts. It was engineered like that, it passed RWC like that and was initially registered with two vicroads inspections like that. My last landcruiser had 25% rear windows with 35% front and the top 93mm of the windscreen competely blacked out. The work-hack magna has totally obscured windows from the b-pillar back and no tints on the front two. All of these vehicles have passed a very recent roadworthy and registration. My current landcruiser had 35% side and rear window tints.
