Guys,

Don't know if this is the right forum to ask it in so move it if appropriate - but:

Have the opportunity to purchase a CC centre console with the three genuine mitsubishi gauges located in the space under where the radio sits. Gauges are boost, temp and battery voltage, all gauges have the mitsubishi logo on them and 'Mitsubishi Motors'. The guy doesn't know much he wants for it as he has tried Ralliart and they haven't give him a price. I asked him what he'd be happy with and he said 'Not sure yet'.

I WANT THIS ITEM but don't want to pay anymore for it than I have to, but the problem is I don't know much to offer him and be reasonable - what do you guys reckon?

They are the genuine factory item. You rang steve form AJAI right? Dan (GSRSOL) already tried to buy these off him and he wouldn't give him a final price so if you end up buying htem I think dan will be having words with you.

Ultimately they are ultra-rare, and worth easily $300, i'd offer 100-150.

If you don't get the looms with the gauges they are useless.

depends on weather you get the sender with them for the oil temp the rest isnt hard to hook up at all.
getting a temp sender for it is another head ache on its own.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys.

I'll see what happens - $150 seems fair.

But if it's like anything else on the fricken car (as you would all know), one thing leads to another and more $$$$$$$ just go flying out the door to see through the first lot of $$ to completion!

All's fair in love and war...........

They are very rare genuine Mitsubishi gauges for the early EVO's which was offered as factory option - see pic below from the EVO sales brochure 'options' section. I seen them sell a while back for $250 the set and I seem to remember something about having to have the oil lines/sensors that comes with it or you'll have problems tracking some down or some crap like that. Also, they are crap quality and dont work too precise lol  . Honestly, you would probably only want them if you were a die hard Mitsu buff and committed to having a rare genuine item. Other than that, your typical gauges from Autometer etc would be better quality and more precise  .

goodluck to you

is all i have to say....

AJAI is bloody hopeless

plus, the boost guage only goes to 1bar.
