Random question, but cant find info and don't want to wait till tomorrow to ask pirtek...
(ill possibly start the car tonight but don't like rushing, see how she goes)

I'm doing the banjo bolts up on my oil cooler and oil filter housing, with the new washers with the rubber centre.

Whats the torque spec, cant find any info. (i'm guessing not to gorilla it)

I know these washers can be temperamental, so it want get it right.

(i'm guessing not to gorilla it) Manuals downloadable in the VR4 Sticky section:thumbsup: Without the toque spec its hard to say as it comes with experience from working on such things all the time. I would say no more than 40NM with a best guess at 18-30NM being that they are quite large banjos.

Above:)

I always do refer to the manuals for the specs, couldn't see the oil cooler in it.
I'm thinking your right, ill just do it up where it grabs then a little, don't want to squash the rubber part of the washer.
Not going to do up as tight as copper washers.

Make sure to hold the oil cooler with a spanner while you tighten up the banjo bolts mate.

Fire her up matey!!

Nah not tonight, too may beers lol. (hence being bored and forum whoring and asking the stupid question). Wouldn't have happened if the gf had of come over like a good lil girl lol.

Id rather let it sit and think about it for a bit. I'm like that, i don't like to start the car strait away after having if off the road to play with it. Leave it for a few days and stare at it untill i know i haven't missed anything.

Fark i'm excited! i really should update my members rides thread.
Handed in heaps of uni assignments this wk and haven't touched the car for ages so really excited!

Whats so bad about the fuel filter, it has the grooves to the filter grabs

Those fuel filters are a pain if you don't have the right tools.

With the right tools, you can do anything!!

Well this was a quality thread wasnt it!
Just goes to show beer and the internetz results in brain farts:blink:

Speaking of farts,

I am a "right tool" sometimes therefore I must be able to do anything!
