how to check transfer case ratio between evo 2 and evo 3

Hi,

would need some help on this.
how to check if i have a evo 3 or evo 2 transfer case?

i'm having issues with my 4wd conversion.

and i suspect my final drive doesn't match with the transfer case i pick up from junk yard.

the car drives fine in straight lines.
but the rear diff makes a noise when i take any corners.
i've swap a couple of rear diff and the noise still there.

i swap between transfer box too. one evo 2 and one evo 3.

my front gearbox is from evo 2 with a evo 3 LSD and evo 3 final drive.
i'm not sure the crown wheel is 63 or 64 tooth, i would just assume its 63 tooth from the evo 3.

If the box has a 64 crown, it needs a 24/22 transfer & 3.909 rear
If the box has a 63 crown, it needs a 29/27 transfer & 3.909 rear
Open the window on top of the t/c & count the teeth.

Also, the Evo III casing is Alloy weakness. Evo I/II are Steel cased.

lol... are you on drugs Jarred? GSR and EVO I-III's are steel cased
