I have been looking at the water spray idea on vfaq and at kits on various sites.

I dont like the idea of losing/sharing a window cleaner tank....
It looks like a really nice place to house one would be under the battery. There is a fair amount of space as well as good access for both I/C and T/B and could look quite stock (except the refill funnel). Has anyone here done something like that?

I have been thinking about how to control it and was looking at a way of doing it from the ECU. Any ideas here?

Aquamist stuff is pretty expensive and I have heard the H2O stuff is risky so maybe for first round just the I/C spray kit which could all come from bunnings.

buy a water bottle from a wreaker and mount and wire it in the boot then run the hose to the frt water sprayers outta mind and outta sight.

i was going for water spray to begin with

its cheaper, easier, reversable and foolproof

when i have proven that i can modify my car without screwing something up then i might go and buy a water pump system.

Liberoz: I didn't wanna bother running water from the back of da car. Under the battery looks perfect for it (unless your filter sits there like (clutz?)

Find a spare rear wiper spray bottle from the VR4 as it is the perfect size!

Just look at it in your boot to see how small it is!
It should fit in your battery

The space under the battery is pretty bit. It looks like you could fit a couple of ice cream containers in there.

I was hoping to use a water can from an nissan N14. Its huge (like 5 liters) and its got a really long neck for refilling.

Thanks for those links btw. That sureflow pump sure looks good.

Anyone have a suggestion for how to activate the pump.
Some ideas that were thrown out and rejected were:

MAF signal
TPS position (stupid IMHO)
Knock sensor (very stupid)

I liked "Fuel voltage" the most..... any ideas?

look on the jaycar website
theres a temp sensor that activates a circuit when it reaches a certain temperature

I dont run from back of car the wagon has rear window wiper
bought a jspec evo pump to run frt and rear window and ic sprayer

WRCVR4: Yep, i read that one.... what jets do you use on yours?

Saw on ebay... a pressure switch that activates at particular boost for about $10. Probably that plus an override switch for when u wanna take off at the lights.
