I need a vr4 fan now

If you mean thermo man ring round your local jap wreckers! Mine stop working afew months back and I managed to find 2 really local for $50-$80 each

The main fan, in front of the radiator

The main fan is the one between the radiator and gearbox on the vr4.my aircon fan is behind the grill.when i first got my car someone had ziptied a supercheap aftermarket fan straight to the radiator cores,a bit rough but it worked,as apparantly the guy had done it 6years before. the aftermarket fan kit has 4 bolts with large flat washers that go through the cores.

Just be careful which factory fan you get from the wreckers because i didnt get a replacement vr4 one ,i think it was galant gsr or magna but it had 4 large plastic supports from the mounting ring to the fan.I had to cut a corner off one support to clear the turbo.which is just a td0516g.

Well, took the fan out and cleaned the connectors and the fan is now turning on when hard wired. But it's not turning on when hooked up in the car.

I had a similer problem,first try bridgeing the plug from the thermo switch on the bottom of the radiator .do this with ignition on and the fan should work.
My problem was i had a bad connection on the radiator fan main connector plug located between the radiator and battery.

fan switch could be busted..... or relay contacts are also gone from age.....

All fixed, It happened to be the Resistor
