Hello,
I have a nice Jap spec Pioneer Double Din stereo but there is a problem with the volume.

When it is on 0 there is no sound then as you go to 1 it is on and stays on that volume, I have no fader, balance, bass or treble control. It is a nice system but I have been quoted $70 to look at it and $65 per hour there after with no certaintity of results.

Does any one know what the problem is and can fix it. I figure if I can get it fixed for under $100 then it is worth a try, after that I may as well buy a new one.

So if you can fix it the cash is yours.

I will be on the cruise next Sat if you want to have a look.

If it is a knob your pot could be nobbed. :p

Otherwise your thing needs to go back to the factory i would say.

Stereo problems

Hello All,
Thanks for the response.

The speakers are run through the deck and the volume control is a +/- button type.

One thing I didn't think of is using someones pioneer remote control to see if that helps as I dont have the remote for this stereo. If anyone has on on the weekend drive I wouldn't mind borrowing for a few minutes.

It could save me some cash and time if that solves the problem.
