nup, just the oil leak...

i havent driven it since last night though, so might be a different story if i take it out tonight

if u put in the stock bov, and it leaks at say 11 psi, then the turbo would probably have to work overtime to make that boost.. so in the long run u could kill your turbo..

ah i dunno.. car probs are a biatch hey..

How big is your dump pipe? Sounds like the lack of back pressure that your silencer was providing before has caused some nasty boost creep, either that or your wastegate actuator/flapper has some issues, but its seems like a coincidence if there was nothing wrong with it before you took your silence out??

The big puff of smoke would have been caused by you hitting boost cut, I wouldnt worry about it too much if your car is still going! Idid it today when i missed 2nd gear, i cant drive with jandals (thongs) on! :lol:

What I would be worried about is the oil leak, perhaps the oil feed or drain has a leak?

my car did that the day i got it. spiked to well past the boost guage limit!! big puff of white smoke... new set of pistons it is still overboosting but i'm yet to work out the problem. majority think that the internal wastegate is cactus.
