Hi everyone,

This morning, all of a sudden the GSR's idle went crazy.
Started her up cold, and at the lights, it was idling at 500rpm or so and stalling sometimes.

Then, after the car got warm, the idle speed was going up and down without any throttle input from myself!!

Finally, when I got to work, and left the turbo timer on for a minute or so, the idle was at 1500rpm.

On the way home from work, it was idling lower then normal again, but didnt cut out.

Can only assume my idle controller has shit itself, or I have an issue with airflow sensors. Anybody else had this happen to them? Feedback appreciated.

1.Check that you dont have a boost leak in your intercooler pipes.
2. Check that you dont have a boost leak in your VAC lines.
3.Check that your BOV sensor line hasnt come off the top of the BOV, or has a split in it.
4.Check that your AFM isnt unplugged.
5. USE the search feature on the forum for all this info thats been posted so many times before.

and dont forget too remove your idle stepper motor and check that it isnt carboned up and or check the resistance between the coils in the stepper motor itself

Didnt know u can get them from A Current Afair lol

Pick and payless or wreckers, thers a few cars you can pinch them off :)

yer i got mine for $99 from a auto electrician that we deal with through work

i dont think wreckers are a good idea too get any electronic gear from because the rain can corrode wires, connector and coils and then your back at square one
