gday guys, i have just recently noticed a miss under full boost. I have a wolf ecu, and i discovered that my injectors were running up to 99% capacity. I am running 15pound, stock injectors as far as i know, and a stock turbo.

Are the stock injectors too small, or do they just need cleaning?

yeah ive already checked those, they really have any carbon, or have anything that would impede the spark, the leads looked alright too, but they might be a bit old...

no, i am running a high flow walbro, not sure exactly which pump, it was put in by techsport. How much more flow would i need over a stock pump?

u could try getting them cleaned and see what happens...
im running 550cc's, walbro and wolf, and i dont see past about 65% duty on 15psi

my injectors

sounds like they are maxed out.. do you wnat mine from my Evo 1..?

they will be available in late october..

let me know via PM

At 15 pounds boost the stock injectors are well within their limitations. At that kind of boost you wouldnt have even needed to upgrade your stock fuel pump to a Walbro either (which I would run a FPR on anyway). I'd be checking your WOLF ECU programming. As another precaution check the battery as well. This cold weather has a habit of killing batteries as the first sign of them dieing is missing under high rpm load followed by rooted cold cranking.

what turbo buddy?

you should run your injectors under 80% to be safe..
over that percentage, u wont really know how the injectors will perform..

rewire the walbro also, get a full 14volts to it via a relay using the ecu as the positive switch to the relay..

you could also change your fuel filter to a hi flow type, change the line from the rail to the filter also (the 90 degree barb fitting doesn't help with flow)

there are a few things u should do before doing the injectors... prolly set you back around 100 - 200 bux depending on what u do

- rail adaptor
- line from rail to fuel filter
- fuel filter adaptor to suit hi flow filter (bosch is a good one)
- fuel filter
- fuel filter adapator to go from fuel filter to the stock lines..

i would also invest in an aftermarket fuel pressure reg..

let us know how u go mate

if u want this stuff done, im in the process of redoing my fuel system and tharaka's fuel system.. i could also help u out if u want..

good luck!

I got the pump put on when some pinging was detected, my mech said that would fix the pinging, and it seems to have worked. That was about a year ago

I need to go back to my tuner for idle issues as well, so ill be going back to him asap

I got a new battery about 2 months ago, so that shouldnt be an issue.

I just think there might be another issue, because i have been running this tune for a while, and its only just started to miss. To be honest i havnt been keeping an eye on injector % since the tune

Bazeng, some help would be awesome, i have holidays from uni in two weeks, ill pm you then if thats alright.

Thanks heaps for the advice

if u have the wolf, im pretty certain that if u have a stock t/b.. u probably have your stock ecu controlling idle??...

damn mitsu's need 4 aux outputs to controll idle...

anyway,start with the basics,
the best guy for wolf3d is PETER at rank rotary...

well im 99% sure that the stock ecu has been removed completely... ill have a chat to Peter during the holidays, and probably wait till i get the next upgrades before i bother to do another tune :D ill just have to stay off the boost till then... :x
