Installing ARP Wheel Studs

So today I decided to take a crack at installing the ARP long wheel studs I received in the mail yesterday.

I took the rotor & caliper off and got to the hub. However I couldn't figure out how to remove the existing studs. Are they machine pressed in? Should I take a hammer to them and see if I can pound them out? Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

(Yes, I tried searching, and no I didn't find anything. Link me and prove me wrong)

Take a hammer to them if you want to be known as the New Evo Owner Butcher :lol: they are pressed in and out with a hydraulic stand press.
Take the hubs out and get them to ypour nearest workshop that can press them in and out.

Roger that. I was hoping to save some cash w/ a DIY job but it looks like that's not going to be an option.

I'm having some difficulty trying to figure out how to take the hubs off. What's the simplest way to do it without taking the suspension off as well?

Nevermind, I figured out I need a 1 1/4 socket to do the job... duh

Ok, I got the fronts done w/out needing to rmove the hub. However, in the rear the studs are recessed into what looks like the wheel bearing. I pulled off the axel nut, but the hub stil doesn't seem to want to budge/come off.

Is the hub somehow connected to something other then the axle nut? Am I just deal with rust keeping it stuck? I'd like to remove the hubs without having to pull the entire rear axle off. Any help would be great appreicated. (rear wheel hubs).

i would be thinking you need to get them pressed out as ive just finished changing my wheel bearings on all 4 corners. also i put in some new studs in the rear, all had to be pressed out but ive seen people go at it with a hammer.
also ive been told the bearings are useless once the hub assembly has been removed so you'll need to get new ones.

Gotcha, I was thinking that might be the case. Does anyone know of other model cars rear wheel bearings are swappable in an evo 1? i.e. talon, eclipse, proton? I'm going to try and have to find some bearings, hopefully w/ shipping from the states.
