Intake Manifold test - JMF / PMW + more

The theory about the flow under vacume makes sense, but when it comes to boost (positive pressure), isnt the entire intake manifold filled out with air? therefore it uses both inner and outer radius.

The forced air (or anything else thats used) would only use outer radious if there is no enough restriction in the system to create positive pressure. A good example for this would be exhaust gasses travelling thru the exhaust pipe.

Magnus are the gurus actually. Brent Rau currently has the fastest DSM and it runs without NOS http://www.dsmtimes.org/times.php?Header_Type=Top50&Page=1 .

His car was built by Magnus and here's a cool youtube vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d91zK-QlW0 . Brent obviously doesnt run a conventional Magnus sheetmetal intake manifold in his car because it'll blow at 30psi!! Brent's running 86psi!!!! so nothing any of these mainfolds can hold without exploding :)

There's been a long history of rivalry/feud between Buschur and Magnus for some time now so and they probably both try to debunk eachothers products evety chance they get lol :lol:

They appear to have kissed and made up now as BR have tested Magmus cast inlet and posted the results BUT I can not find anything on their site that comes within a bulls roar of the shareing information on everything they test and the various parts in each motor combo
I agree that Magnus have the fastest car:thumbsup:
I'm sure that we can agree to disagree in a gentlemanly way:)
 
Too true Oldie. They're both good tuners and pioneers for 4G63 development. As long as there is a healthy competition and rivalry between guys like that (and our own APC boys) the benefits of their R&D and fruits of their labour benefits the entire 4G63 community :)

So they've made up now have they? like old footy mates who smash eachother on the field but after the game shake hands afterwards and go for a drink... I love it :)
 
To understand what I mean about shareing info look no further than logging onto BUSCHUR RACING then click on EVO then EVO PERFORMANCE ETC then "RANDOM DYNO SHEETS etc " then"INLET MANIFOLD DYNO TESTS etc "
 
No testing was done with the KU manifold...

They do require ALOT of work in the ports... very very rough casting.
Externally they look decent.

Very heavy though!!
