I am trying to get the valve that goes form the intake to the top of the cam cover out so that i can match the thread at bunnings with a bolt.

Problem is it is way down under the fuel rail and stuff.

Anyway to get it out besides pulling the fuel rail and possibly the whole intake mani off?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers for advice. They arent open today but autopro and supercheap normally have a shitload of random bolts ill igve them a go.

LOL

I don't get it?

A bolt that is the right thread and length is...a bolt that is the right thread and length.

If i can find it in bunnings or supercheap i will use it.

They even have high tensile in autopro.

Do i want to use something that is not a bolt?

to block something off u wont need a high quality rated bolt...just make sure u get the right thread...and probably stay away from galvanised coated because u may get a bit of coating come off and go into ur head as you screw it in.A bit of thread sealnt would be good,as sometimes those threads are taper locked so they dont leak,in fact u might be better off visistng pirtek and getting a tapered blank,if the end of the thread looks smaller then the start, its tapered,so it seals.

will post pics if you like but i am pretty sure its not tapered. It is M10 x 1mm size bolt/thread. I have just got a high tensile bolt and cut it in half.

When I finally get my car booked into pirtek i will se abut getting something prettier.

Yeah well if its M10x 1 its not tapered.
The bolt should be fine,as long as u deburred the thread end u cut so it screws in fine

jamie

For the hopefully very short interim between me getting my car into pirtek, I just put a M10 x1 bolt in it, looks stupid and im sure its not the best but Canberra only having one Pirtek which is run by one guy so its impossible to get onto him :S .
