Hey guys,
my intercooler is a bit damaged and was wondering if it was repairable or if i need to buy a new one.. i know pics would help but no camera atm.. basically it looks dinted down the bottom and some of the fins are pushed in.. i took it for a drive and it is still boosting fine on stock boost but havent driven it on high boost 15psi.. if it boost fine on 8psi then 15psi should fine too? if it is does that mean my cooler isn't leaking? thanks.. btw it isn't make any whistling noises aswell..

if i have to repair it.. anyone recommend anyone in melb?

pressure test it mate,
that way you'll know if its okay or not (any radiator place can do it)

if u want to do it yourself, get some soapy water and spray it around the damaged area, if it bubbles up, then you know its leaking (when its pressurised)

try and pressurise it with a compressor of some sort

maybe even in neutral with somebody revving it up

if it does leak, it can be repaired. a good radiator shop can do it. they use an "araldite" like substance, looks like spaghetti, its melted on with an oxy, use to repair leaking alloy radiators.
