my name is Mat, I'm 22, live in melbourne, enjoy candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach.
ummmm... i mean, i currently have an rx7 and will probably get a vr4 when some bugger finally buys my car! :lol:
just thought i'd say a quick hello, please excuse my lack of knowledge, ill try my best to not ask dumb questions!
Why is there such a lack of vr4's for sale! Ive been looking on carpoint.com.au and carsales.com.au and there is hardly anything. Im really after a jap-spec because of the bumpers and the better cooler, but not having much luck! Im hoping I can pick one up for about 12 grand.

should have no problems picking one up in melbourne for that, there were a few a while back, (feb,march) that were around the 10k mark

if you don't mind waiting a bit, i'd advise that you best get one through an importer directly from japan, it may be a bit messier than just picking one up here, but you'll end up saving some cash which you can put towards mods etc
but as the import aproval laws are about to change, i'd advise you to get onto it fairly quickly

Having issues justifying running up 800km a week in a turbocharged car. You know how much 98 octane costs?

Getting a car on LPG until I finish uni. Until then the money will be in the bank accruing interest/invested/etc.

(Unless I change my mind yet again. I'm worse than a woman )

i think im the worst for changing my mind! yesterday i wanted a series 5 rx7 convertible, today i found out what the insurance premium would be! :lol:
do u have any details on your car, or photos? i was planning on waiting until i get back from overseas later this year, but it depends how soon i sell my car.

fuckin nice! im looking for something stocky though so i can do stuff to it myself, i dont really want to buy something that someone has already modified.
Do you have any pics of your car clutz, i saw some in some gallery a while ago but can't remember where it was. LOVE the rims!!!

that is all
everything else is stock

but this way, no need for 4bolt.. no need for bonnet with vents.. no need for 2pot brake upgrade, no need for close ratio gearbox change.. no need for injector change (already got 510cc's) no need for bigger turbo (already got the 16g..)

anyways... it'll save you alot of time any money...
its got all the goods
only thing missing in my opinion is a rebuilt engine and big turbo (for those drag racers who wants 10's)

anyways.. it runs mid 13's on pump fuel...

i just got off the phone to the finance company, and they will finance a jap vr4, but!
it has to be bought through someone with an LMCT!
this has put me in a bit of a dilema... out of this and a skyline, the skyline will be a lot easier to get my paws on but i would really rather a VR4, but where the hell is a yard that sells jap vr4's???? :cry:

as in a dealership / caryard
i rang one place and they said they can get VR4's but you buy it without seeing the car and they order it and it arrives, but all you get to see is photos which makes me a bit nervous :?

only one person that has bought a car from him have been happy. ask for pics of chassis rails before you buy :!: :!: :!:
