After a few beers on a Friday night we came up with the idea of turning the engine to North/South and running the evo in rwd and do some skids in the process.
We removed the engine, gearbox and front cross member and suspension.
I am looking to run a s13 (with a lot of modifications)front crossmember, coilovers, lower controll arms, steering rack ect.
Im not going to cut up the front end, so im going to leave it as factory looking as I can.The firewall and tunnell might have to be cut up a little bit.

The transmission will be a built C4 auto with trans brake.
Im hoping to have it done by the Winternationals in early June.
The turbo and inlet manifolds will have to be made again and im thinking of mounting the turbo behind the headlight.
All up I should take out another 80-100kgs out of it from all of the awd driveline
This is also going to be reversable so if I want to put it back to evo I can :D

lol the onli skids evo's should do are heli's but ure car is gunna be fukin wild!!!!!!!!!!!! should go quicker too huh? what times are you hunting an what class will u run now???

So your leaving drag racing and going into drifting ;)

Good luck with the conversion to RWD. Definately take build up pics things you changed, manipulated and massaged.

I see a trend happening.. Some of the best cars on this forum happen after a few too many beers are had.
Can't wait to see it in action.

Love the idea Rob, its inspiring to see people come up with a fresh idea and have the dedication and capacity to make it happen. All I can say is thank fuk I dont drink  Your missus must be pretty cool because mine would just stand there with crossed arms, stare at me with a sour look on her face, and make my life miserable because its more money to spend on the car and not on her

i was talking to ben at apc about this rob whilst i was waiting to pick up my vr4 (not impressed with the price i paid for the amount of work that got done but thats another issue) sounds like you've got things worked out and it also sounds like it is going to be a machine.

$2400 to install a radiator and intercooler and diagnose a few parts, appart from that they didn't do what i originally asked them to do which was to fix the gearbox leak and install my gauges.

anyway back on topic,
