i am thinking i will probly try to get ride of it for around the 8k mark and by a rotory

they arnt as reliable but are allot cheaper to get going fast as matress said but who knows im like a woman i change my mind every day :lol:

well so far i have got the front bar off, all the IC pipes,pod pipe,IC,catch can and the rocker cover


i will be cleaning all these up and i think i will be painting everything in heat proof mat black for stealth

if i paint the IC would i be loosing much effeciency if so how much?

if anyone has taking one of these engine out before can you give me some hints or if you are in melbourne and are feeling like a saint you could give me a hand. It wont be for a while as i wont to get a engine stand first.

You will not lose any effeciency painting the cooler black, as you will only be applying a slight mist of black on the front of the cooler.

And black disipates heat more so than anything shiny does, the only downside is the extra layer on the intercooler. However, there will be ZERO noticeable differences.. if anything you might achieve a gain from it.

i know you can get the high temp stuff in a arosol can but does anyone know if/where yo can get it to spray though a gun

also would i be beter to use a undercoat on the pipes and cooler to help it last long time :lol:

have u thought about cermaic coating?

competion coating do it

they have a nice black (very matt black, almost ugly.. haha)

keeps the temp down, looks neat..

pricey though..

i will be trying to do asmuch as possible myself to keep costs down
my oldman is a spraypainter/panelbeater so i will get him to help me with the paintwork

people who say rotaries are unreliable usually have never owned one...
they're just like any other car, if it's a piece of shit, it will be unreliable.
when i bought my rx7 it had a blown motor, hence it was unreliable.
i got it rebuilt and the only problems i had with it was chewing up diff centres and dealing with the EPA :lol:
