Hey guys, lakeside raceway will be opening again on March the 14th.
I just wanted to see who would wanna come out and check out the new and improved track.
I dont know if you knew but they have widened alot of the straights so it will be more fun to drive.

So who's keen??

Widened the straights - Booooo!
Never been so scared in my life when I came down around the last corner onto the straight, apexed too early and ended up on the ripple strips beside the concrete wall. The whole car felt like it was going to jump straight over the wall and head for the lake. Sure teaches you to respect the track and how to drive though.

Seeing as I only live 5 minutes from there, I might come out to watch. My car wouldn't pass the 5000 rpm stationary noise limit test though, cause the stutterbox kicks in at 4700rpm. I simply can't rev it cleanly to 5k without all the popping and farting of the stutterbox.

Yeah the track was pretty scary, and the corners used to be plain death ay.
Well, the cost is bout 150, for the day im pretty sure.
The track is meant to be heaps safer ( i guess they are sick of amatures going and totaling cars into the wall)

well it should be real fun. if i dont get many people on this day i will organise another day to get as many people out as possible.

Has anyone actually had a close up look at the track yet?

There used to be a big blurb about it on the QR wesite but the links no longer seem to work.
Here is the entry form:

On top of the entry fee, you will need a AASA National license - $210.

Considering that my rally license is currently due for renewal, be buggered if I'm going to get a AASA licence as well just to go round and round the same track over and over again.

Anyone wan't to buy my semislicks?

I have a copy of the entry form in my hand and it says that the Annual AASA Clubman Licence is only $55.

The noise restriction is over 90 or 95 db. if your car runs over that you cant race.
looking forward to seeing you all there.

anymore Q's just post up.
